ChuckleCast Privacy Policy

ChuckleCast shows your local weather and a joke about it. We collect as little as we can.
What we use
- Location. We use your latitude and longitude, or your approximate location
from your IP address, to fetch local weather. We do not store it permanently or sell it.
- Preferences. We store your temperature unit and notification time so the app
works the way you set it.
- Anonymous usage. We log when a joke is viewed or shared so we can improve the
app. We attach no personal identity to these events.
Who we share with
- Open-Meteo provides the weather data.
- OpenAI writes the jokes and receives only the weather conditions and the city name.
- Google Firebase hosts the app and stores the anonymous data above.
